Albums

Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed the members of the group did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.

The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous albums, and was criticised for the lack of hit singles.
